Test Knit - Bib

Here is the first test knit - baby bib knit with Knit Picks CotLin - a dream to work with. Easy pattern. Notice there are more than one button hole for adjustability.

I may do a receiving type blankie, too. That would be nice.

A specific prayer request

I have a specific prayer request according to this ministry. My son is the age to attend pre-school in the fall, so my request is to either get him into the school pre-k program or find a very inexpensive 2 day a week program or...something! I must find some sort of care for him in order to be able to be available for O/W two days a week (my goal).

Thank you for your prayers.

Today

I got the yarn and I will soon cast on for the test knits. Gorgeous colors!!!! (After test knitting, know that there may be other options for the project, I am glad to have a few months of planning for this!)

I spoke to the Director of O/W a bit ago and we discussed the ministry and where their vision is leading....all are very excited about this and how it's all fitting together!!!! I am so thankful to God for choosing me and giving this to me. I feel honored to honor Him by sharing this gift of knitting that I have been given.

With Love.......

A new week

I should be getting the yarn today from knit picks, so I'll be able to do a test knit very soon. I made a set for a friend (in a different cotton yarn) but decided that the pattern may be a little too complicated for a beginner (see my other blog Knittingloca - it's the pink and green set).

Finally my kids are all better...we had lots of sickness the last two weeks, but thank God that's over.

I am going to try to meet with the O/W director this week in person, so I'll give an update on that. I have a child swap tomorrow, so it might be a good time.

I'll keep you posted!
